In July 2000, rapper DMX had been in discussions with producers about a fourth Crow film titled The Crow: Lazarus about a rapper who chooses to leave the music scene for the love of a woman and is killed during a drive-by shooting. The rapper is then reincarnated as The Crow in order to take revenge on the gang responsible for his death.[1] Production had been slated to begin in November of that year, but the project ultimately never came to be.[2] In March 2003, it was announced Edward Furlong had been cast as the lead in The Crow: Wicked Prayer.[1]
Why couldn't he still be a rapper? I would have liked to see Edward Furlong rap about vengeance. I guess now I can make it happen. Get ready world for MC Laz backwards-R Us. He speaks in ornate gothic rhyme and carries a laser pistol that does 3d6 damage. I probably won't be able to come up with too many ornate gothic rhymes on the spot that don't begin with "my name is laz and I'm here to say" or end with "a-hip-hop-hippity do", so most of the time I will just beatbox and let my lasgun do the talking. Bad ass.
