Re: Book suggestions? by Cyrris 01/17/2003, 12:15pm PST Jihad vs. McWorld by Benjamin Barber provides an interesting picture of the whole "West/Mid-East Culture clash". He makes a few assumptions, namely that all muslims want no part of western culture, and that the nature of both beasts prevents any sort of compromise, but on the whole the book is an interesting read. Prolly more relevant now than when I read it last year (we wern't about to colonize liberate Iraq back then) Still worth reading through some of the exerpts on amazon.com to see if its something you're interested in. -Cyrris
