If I were to produce a film titled "Random Sex Scenes", do you think it would sell well, or has someone already beaten me to it?
Jon Johansen, who really only wrote the program based around the code broken by the two anonymous German hackers, had his day in court recently. The judge essentially said, "What the fuck? This is Norway, not fucking America. Fuck the MPAA." and acquitted him on all counts. It wasn't the Norweigan Supreme Court, but I wouldn't worry about the kid spending any time in jail. His father is also apparently fairly well off financially (I deduce this from the fact that the police had to confiscate multiple computers, and a PDA/cell phone belonging to Jon at age 16) and 100% behind his son's actions, which helps a lot.
Slashdot has the details, or at least lots of links to them, as usual.
IMDB says no match to 'Random Sex Scenes', and since they've got stuff like the 1898-thriller Tossing a Nigger in a Blanket, I'll take their word for it.

'DVD Jon', as he's often called in Norway, is also something of a local hero, too. And people wonder why I created a 'Scandinavian Liberal Paradise' in NationStates. |
