A few other things:
- The only way to tell what the weather situation is in a grid-map is to load into it. Surprise! You're fighting in a sandstorm/firestorm. Sharpshooting is useless, hope you brought a machete!
- "Boss" characters have godlike marksmanship. If you fight in fog, all your shots beyond point blank range 'graze' the target. But meanwhile they'll hit you with a full-auto burst from normal range. Fucking bullshit!
- There are two fixed MG emplacements on Ernie Island, one at your village (if you bring back an MG42) and the enemy fort you can fix up. Both have unlimited ammo.
- Currently seems very RNG dependent. I started a new playthrough and I'm drowning in 9mm ammunition, but can't find any AK-47 ammo. This is so weird. |
