This trailer is deceptive, as there's barely any animation in the game proper.
It's a blobber RPG roguelite set in a cross between Call of Cthulhu and Junji Ito's Uzumaki manga. You play a kid in mid-80s Japan trying to stop a randomly-chosen elder god from reawakening and bringing the apocalypse, but to do so you need to solve 5 random mysteries in town to get the 5 keys necessary to access the lighthouse where the resurrection ritual is taking place. Solving them involves traveling to a series of locations in town and hitting the "investigate" button which spawns a random disturbing event or combat encounter.
The graphics and interface are vintage 80s. ICJ will love this. Note that there are a zillion color palette options in the game, including CGA.
