I think I get the appeal of this by The only source you need 12/20/2023, 6:55pm PST It's intentionally stupid to draw in viewers the same way those mobile game ads show footage of someone playing horribly to hook people in thinking it's easy and they could do better. Hence all the games are shit for babies. And they actually get less tense and involved as the show goes on? Red Light Green Light sniper killing field -> cookie licking -> tug of war -> marbles -> complete game of chance -> two dudes stumble around a field for half a minute before a knife fight. The writing is too shit to elevate any of the games beyond their simplicity, whereas Kaiji manages to inject probability and mind games into stuff as simple as rock paper scissors. If you think the writing isn't embarrassing as hell, just wait until the "english speaking" rich people arrive.
