- Jessica talks to Alia like her invisible rabbit friend Harvey and says weird shit like "My daughter wants to know if (blank)" and I found that a jarring, stupid choice on Villenueve's part. She could've just said odd shit without specifying that her unborn child was asking and we all would've 'gotten it'.

- You can't have Margot Fenring without Count Fenring. He should've had a cameo at least.

- Paul threatens to use Atomics to destroy all spice on Arrakis instead of the Water of Life. This was a stupid change, the Harkonnens could've come up with that scheme. And the Major Houses just ignore his threat anyways. Also the entire scene about Paul uncovering the atomic vault, while cool to me, could've been completely cut.

- Christopher Walken was miscast as the Emperor and he's depicted as a feckless old man in a bathrobe, possibly in the Kaitain Retirement Home for Senile Emperors. It takes Paul's victory against long odds and cheapens it. Also all of the scenes on Kaitain look like they were filmed in the same rich guy's Guggenheim-designed backyard garden instead of the center of wealth and power of the Imperium.

- Gaius Mohaim claims that the Bene Gesserit had the Atreides murked because of their bloodline, which is fucking stupid and removes agency from the Emperor. Bitch, you wanted an Atreides daughter to fuck the Harkonnens to make a Kwisatz Haderach to begin with!

- No mention of the Guild in the entire movie!

- What happened to Hawat? This movie doesn't care either. Even Yueh gets placed into the part of the rando no-name Atreides who fights Feyd in the gladiator arena.

- The one character's fate that Villenueve had complete artistic license on, Rabban, goes down like a bitch in 3 seconds to Gurney Halleck. No budget left for 15-20 seconds of fight choreograophy between Josh Brolin and Dave Bautista? Everyone keeps telling me what phenomenal acting talent Bautista has but he plays a jobber in this.
