Better job system, better aiming, Better skills, better levels, better incentive to use your whole crew, better enemy variety. Hell, even the promotional tie-in band Steam Powered Giraffe is better, with a new 3rd guy who's mediocre at the robot miming but has a spectacular set of pipes:
