All the women who make country music are made up like Hollywood starlets, super glamorous and beautiful, and the guys all look like a bunch of chubby neckbeard losers.
I'm not interested in it enough to find out more about it but it does seem like it's part of the same cultural movement as the tradwife thing where there's some mythological "middle America" where ugly failures wed beautiful women in sundresses and then keep them down on the farm. I can certainly see the appeal of it from the guys' side, though I'm sort of curious why women find it appealing, if they do. |
