What everyone probably knows as "that weird laughing nuns game".
It is a game that will constantly have you going "the fuck?". You're a nun going around doing menial chores in a convent. The drudgery is constantly broken up by either batshit stuff happening, or total shifts like the game suddenly turning into an 8 bit pixel platformer or overhead crane game. Rather than coming off as Joss Whedon trying too hard 4th wall breaking wacky lol so random humor, it somehow all manages to tie into the bleak tone of a cloistered existence amongst the contradicting hypocrisy of orthodox religion. It's hard to compare it to anything, but if I had to, I guess I would go with a somber Deadly Premonition meets No More Heroes, but with no combat? I keep playing just to see what happens next. Indika certainly is a lot of things, but boring isn't one of them. |
