Justin Timberlake is greeted by the redhead from the Kids in the Hall skits who escorts you across the rooftops like the fucking Roadrunner to meet your ex-girlfriend Elizabeth from Bioshock Infinite who changed her name to Sophie. Later your sister shows up and she looks so goddamn much like Sophie I swear to god I thought it was going to be some awkward plot twist. Considering I only just started, it may turn out to be one. However, Maelle also looks like a modified version of Sophie and Emma, so I think the developer was just getting as much mileage as possible out of one character model. But that puts your character in the position of having an ex-girlfriend that was the spitting image of your own sister, and with their being some undertones of Maelle having the hots for you, it kind of comes off like subtle fetish.
This may seem like nitpicking, but they spent a billion dollars on art design, so you'd think they could do something a little more unique for such prominent characters beyond a ctrl+c / ctrl+v and a new haircut.
I only just got past the prologue and onto the island, so I have no real opinion of the game yet. |
