Dune: Awakening came out. Conan Exiles in the far far future of the After Guild Era. Other than automation instead of mindless NPC's doing your bidding, it's pretty much the same.
The real kicker is that the 'story' gameworld is hosted on private servers while there are public 'hubs' for various groups of people, one Arrakeen for each server cluster. There are three official server vendors and they're the ONLY way to play if you don't want to play in a public server with all its griefing and bullshit.
I'm wondering how much of a cut Funcom is getting from these server rentals. |
