Argh! The immediate action is so much better than Roboquest, but long-term the RPG shit starts interfering with the action. After area 1 I can't just grapple up to a basic mook and blast them with a shotgun to the face to instantly recharge my grapple. No, now I first need to punch a c-ball to charge an ability then double-switch my guns to activate another ability to do enough damage to pull off the move.
Roboquest, to its credit, isn't as annoyingly fiddly in its later levels.
I've been saying it since System Shock 2: FPS and RPG don't mix! |
