| I was going to see it at the local theater when we lost power the other day. The showtimes were 4PM and 10:45PM. I am not actually all that against a 10:45PM start, but the bullshit with their industry means it's starting at 11:15 at best. Figure two hours, so 1:15AM and then 20 minutes to get home.
Not against doing that necessarily. I don't really stay up late any more, but I could see myself doing it a couple of times a year. But jesus christ, the people making movies (who have it VERY VERY good) should figure this shit out a little. Maybe it's been in the theater for 20 weeks and this is them giving people like me a chance. I can admit that my case may not be the standard. The best movie-attending experience I ever had was seeing Saw X at the same time on a Tuesday night a few years ago. Had the theater to myself. Groggy start the next day, but Saw X ruled. |
