The trailer does not look good, but I am hopeful by Fullofkittens 04/06/2026, 8:56am PDT It's very very weird that this stars Renate Reinsve, Oscar-nominated star of The Worst Person In The World and Sentimental Value. I would love to hear the story about how she became attached to this project. The thing that bothers me most about the trailer is that it doesn't look...dingy...enough...? The YouTube videos (of which I admit I have only seen a few) seem to get a lot of juice out of being VHS-coded, and this reads like a Netflix miniseries. Too glossy? It's Oz Perkins's cinematographer and his movies look great so I guess I will try to remain optimistic there. I guess we already have Skinamarink. I think the fact that this is the work of an obsessive teenager is the most promising thing about it. Maybe it will be something really different. A24 is smart to get in on the ground floor of directors who were raised by YouTube.
