I avoided this one for a while because back in the 80s and 90s there were a million Twilight Zone ripoff shows and it seemed like every single one of them had to have the "girlfriend/boyfriend robot turns into a murderous stalker" storyline at some point.
Companion isn't like them. It has all kinds of unexpected twists and turns.
And unlike Murderbot it absolutely commits to its dark humor and cynicism and doesn't devolve into sappy mush.
Come into it as blind as you can. |
