http://garageband.com/ It's like MP3.com though it has rating systems and contests and stuff. Some of the stuff on it is good, much more isn't though. The bands I've seen are charging 8 - 10 dollars for their CDs so it's sort of worth it if you find just one band you really like. Though get ready for streaming, because very few of the bands allow downloads of their "art". It has a little mailing list for gigs in your area too, which is nice I guess unless you live somewhere like I do where there are only a smattering of places for "gigs" to happen. |
