There is a character that shows up and if I say who it is, it will ruin a really nice surprise. Nobody spoiled it for me, so I don't want to do that for anyone else.
In the 1970s, Stan Lee had Marvel make comic books of not just certain genres, but styles - surfing, motorcycles and martial arts were big, so we got the Silver Surfer, the Ghost Rider and Shang-Chi. They had westerns in the big Marvel universe and also horror - we got "Tomb of Dracula" and Werewolf by Night.
Jack Russell is -- look at this guy!
The first episode is in black and white, except for the bloodstone. The dramatic lighting works great, Gael García Bernal is a wonderful Jack and Werewolf annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd it's a "tv movie," meaning a 52 minute one-shot. I did not know that until just now. God dammit. I loved the violence and the gore, it was great, they should do more. |
