The implications are many, but for starters, this INC shit has got to end. So, someone doesn't like you and/or SB. That sucks. Further, that someone is well composed and often funny enough to give his charges a sheen of legitimacy. That sucks, as well. It demands a response, but the endless stating and re-stating and name-calling hurts more than it helps. Duking it out is perfectly fine, for for everyone except you and SB. So have some faith in the rest of the readership, to supply whatever responses those posts deserve.

Growth begets strength, and when there are 1000 posts per day you can relax this standard. Until then, consider chilling out to whatever extent will stem your twin tidal waves of posts.

This is a nearly unmoderated forum. As such, I do not have the power to go around banning annoying mosquitos like INC (from a purely hypothetical perspective, of course - I prefer the lack of moderation as well), which is the usual recourse of an admin in a moderated setting. In this environment, I have the same powers as everyone else until a forum poster violates the rules. So, what is my recourse going to be when somebody incessantly attacks me? The same as anybody else's. I will not have my hands tied behind my back. I will not leave such attacks to be dealt with by proxy.

Now, I admit the post-deletion comment elsewhere in the thread was poor form, but I was trying to make it come across tongue-in-cheek, not as a thinly veiled threat. I may not have been so effective at this at 5 in the morning. Still, I'm not sorry I said it, as INC's unwarranted, laser-focus concentration on minor administrivia strongly reminds me of jrkerr. I wouldn't fault Chet for making such jokes at jrkerr's expense, so I'm not faulting myself.

I you would prefer that I take on some sort of General Ataturk-type persona when making FDA-approved admin comments, fine. Don't expect me to hang back and warm the bench, though.

We will make all administrivia posts under the nicks Admin #1 and Admin #2 (POSSIBLY EVEN #3).

We will randomly use whatever nick we like when posting 'official admin posts.'

Unless you see those nicks, ES and I are not posting in the capacity of admins.
