Whether you believe that force is justified or not, how can anyone seriously believe that the inspections are fucking working? Who can't see that the "option of inspectors . . . taken to the end" is simply an Iraq with shitloads of WMDs and the rockets to deliver them? I think France is fooling itself. The only ones being fooled are those who believe France's stated reasons for opposing a war. The French know damn well that Saddam has all kinds of naughty NBC toys, but they're not at all worried that he'd actually use them against France. Is Blix becomming an Iraqi appologist? What the fuck? Blix is beholden to his masters at the UN. If he pisses off the majority of the Security Council by providing evidence sufficient to justify military action, he'll lose his job. |
