Huh. I sure did, didn't I. Well, these may still happen at some point if I can organize my thoughts.

Any review I could make of Battle Realms, however, will now inevitably turn into a rant about why I'm utterly sick and tired of all RTS games not named Sacrifice or Homeworld or maybe Total War. Maybe that could still work out pretty well, but as Fabio might say the funny count would prove to be sorely lacking right now. I just did a rough draft and it pretty much reads as follows:

"Blizzard motherfuckaz frontin' when they rollin' / WC3'z style be more half-assed than a semi-colon"

But I'm listening to the Wu-Tang while typing this so you'll have to forgive me. And I'll, uh, work on it some more. A lot more.

Now, about Divine Divinity... um, yeeeeeeeeeah. See, I have to either A: wait for Larian to create a patch that resolves the crashing that I simply cannot get around when trying to load my current saved game, or B: start over. Doing so won't be easy since Larian has already sort of written the game off, plus I've spent HOURS at the fucking thing and hate the idea of abandoning my all-mighty warrior for a n00b. (Admittedly: I also have to quit playing so much NHL2K3 and Dynasty Warriors 3 and get to work on something, anything that could qualify as article/review-worthy.)

I could write something right now based on my DD experiences thus far, sure, but there's an actual honest-to-God chance I'd do the game a disservice, because... okay, yeah, it's buggy as a motherfucker (not just based on my experience with it - the Larian tech support forums get all too much traffic). It's also the best Diablo-style game I've played to date, if you don't count the far more simplistic but also more pure-action-packed-fun Baldur's Gate console game. So basically, I'm unsure as to how I should approach a review of a game I enjoyed, yet can't come close to completing. I guess I'll slap something together and run it by the Caltropistas, but I double-super-especially won't promise anything good.

Maybe I can redo my King's Quest or Pool Of Radiance 2 rants. I remember getting madd (or at least some) propz for those, and since they were lost in the HolOMMcaust I figure I might as well recreate them here the way Fabio did with SS2. Or perhaps I should do a review of adventure games in general using a fake hintbook format (while being mindful not to tread on the ground Erik already covered with his complaints about the dumbassity of Gabriel Knight 3). This sounds like something I can accomplish far more readily than a DD review right now.

I can't promise when I'd get any of this done. I HAVE A LIFE TO RUN YOU KNOW, and insert all the other usual excuses here. I guess I'm just saying thanks for the reminder, because frankly I had forgotten about what I said on PlanetHate. Oof.
