I had a long-term plan for a monthly CV chat. But... by Zseni 02/22/2003, 2:17pm PST
1. That's a ways out from now, it comes after there's an actual CV site, and that comes after an actual CV audience. For those playing along at home, my present standard for CV audience is 15-20 posts a day on a fairly regular basis. Furthermore it's only once a month, and for that purpose I can just set up a room on any old server. The purpose would be to have a live competition on some short form like haiku or epitaph, with sko needlessly token prize for the victor.

2. A Caltrops chat would be highly, highly, highly gay. I am not opposed to one, but I am not decidedly for one either. I think if there is a chat it should be a) not 24/7, b) unmoderated, and c) primarily for the purpose of organizing CS/C&C/whatever the fuck else game groups. There just isn't the readership here to justify an ongoing chat - in the same way that there isn't the readership to justify my building a whole new site just for CV yet.

3. The Cool Kids already use AIM for most of the site-related off-site chatter; why bother with IRC when anyone interested can get an AIM account and set up individual or group chats as they please? [BTW, I'm at zsenijeim@aim.]

I'd really rather not, but I'd do it if ES wanted to. NT by Senor Barborito 02/22/2003, 2:10am PST NEW
I'm ambivalent. How many of you fags would want IRC, anyhow? -nt- NT by Entropy Stew 02/22/2003, 3:53am PST NEW

It would make this place gayer. I'm for it -nt- NT by Bill Dungsroman 02/22/2003, 1:32pm PST NEW
