In my nearly 12 years of martial arts practice, most of the biggest retards I've met have claimed to study ninjitsu (the remainder claimed to study esoteric Chinese stuff that supposedly gave them superpowers). I have heard conflicting stories as to wether 'ninjitsu' even exists. I had one of these self-styled 'ninjas' who, incidentally, weighed about 350lbs, so I doubt he'll be flying through any treetops anytime soon, show me his dremeled, mangled 'ninja sword', which he had attempted to serrate himself. He said this was the proper way. I later had the unfortunate honor of watching one of my friends try to 'learn' from this guy. Every ounce of power his freakish strikes might have had leaked right out the malformed hip placement, and the footwork looked hurriedly boosted from "Street Fighter II". As you might guess, I don't put much stock in Ninjitsu, due to some rather rotten experiences. All of this aside, martial arts is about fighting; and say what you will about the usefulness they have in a world full of firearms and Brazilians, I fail to see how someone in a wheelchair might even pretend to be able to fight on the level as he fellow 'blackbelts' who retain the use of their... legs. My former instructor in Silat (I'll just say Silat for brevity's sake) earned his "Red Sash" (something like fifth degree black, but the scales are pretty relative you realize) in less than a year. He busted his ass. I'm sure hotrod there worked pretty hard. Barring an infinite supply of throwing stars and the psychosis needed to use them, I'm sorry, but I'm not going to be intimitdated by the ninja skillz of a man in a wheelchair. He needs his hands to move the wheelchair. He needs his hands to use a weapon. I doubt he can do both. I don't practice Japanese martial arts beyond what little Taikiken I have picked up, and that's not even really Japanese. I've known skilled Aikido practictioners, one of whom nearly ripped my arm off. This isn't anti-japanese martial chauvanism, its anti-ninja-retardation chauvanism. |
