Actually, I did too. Did they ever go out of their way to try to make it suck, too... killer mosquitos, endless jumps, stupid puzzles, hideous dialog. But the game looked fantastic and the combat system was tight. When I bought the game it was heavily marked down, so that fact that it was almost free probably aided in my enjoyment of the game.

Okay, admittedly, I probably wouldn't have been so happy if I shelled out $40 for it. The city missions would've proved highly annoying, and even though it's the prettiest sewer in the history of video games, the sewer level probably would have been where I called it quits. But fuck it, at $10, it was *really* good. The levels at the end were nifty as FUCK, and the final boss actually felt like a final boss - challenging and incredibly badass-looking. I'd call FAKK2 the thinking man's Serious Sam if there were actually any thinking involved.

I never got to play the post-ship slapped on MP, was it as awesome as it looked?

Uh... you tell me. I halfheartedly downloaded it, but couldn't find any servers at all. It doesn't seem like there's a vibrant FAKK 2 online community. I guess in theory it would be pretty good.
