Barb: This Is Spinal Tap is a very funny movie, at least the first time you see it. But it's much funnier if you are a rock musician, know rock musicians, or at least watch VH1. As far as I know, you don't fit under any of those categories. So, you might not like it as much as the average person that does. You *do* think a lot of people are stupid, though, and it makes fun of stupid people, so maybe you would like it.
Myself, I prefer Christopher Guest's other two good movies (Waiting for Guffman and Best In Show), since they are blissfully free of Rob Reiner's odious presence. I hate that guy.

I don't think people are stupid, I observe them constantly being stupid.
That's a pretty damned 2-way street, however.
