Let's be perfectly clear: it's not a model airplane. It's a lightweight craft with a 25 foot wingspan. Just because it's "primitive" doesn't mean it wouldn't be effective. According to that article, UN Weapons Inspectors were concerned about it since Feb. 17th. It bears no resemblance to what Iraq declared (unless you believe the Iraqis over the WIs). I doubt strongly that it's a "smoking gun", so you're right on that. But it's patently not insignificant or absurd the way you make it sound.
