Noir is meant to fall into one of the ultimate genres (thus the name), but its tedium and manufactured ennui just does the word a disservice. Don't bother looking at it, renting it, or even reading the rest of this post, the show is just not worth your time.

- A story about two chick assassins from Japan killing French Corporate Moguls and their armies of Men In Black clones has never been so boring. Ever.
- No shit, it's a bunch of poorly drawn characters who exist solely to be murdered by marginally less poorly drawn women. The stories and dialogue are just shit.
- The scenes are manipulative, cheesy and exist solely to sensationalize, like FX's The Shield, but without the "good."
- Any one of these weaknesses could easily have been overcome by a little fanservice, but it looks like someone was trying to make Serious Art...and failed. Sorry, nips: no Momo panties, no jeep WAGE.

...I shut it off and I'm going to read Neil Gaiman's American Gods. It's been a long time since I read a book without pictures or code samples.
