Doesn't really get interesting until October 6th. I think I've seen the other matchups four times in the last five years at minimum (not on MNF, necessarily, but overall). It's not even remotely worth the obligatory "Dallas sucks, why are they on?" comment because it's obvious that they will be on MNF every year no matter their incompetence or record. Always against the Giants, too -- there's been one compelling Cowboys-Giants game in recent history, and that was only because Emmitt got over 160 yards on a separated shoulder. Those games otherwise completely fucking suck.

Atlanta versus St. Louis should be good, presuming Vick's receivers play as well as they should and the Rams haven't been reduced to the bickering posse of broken-down nancies that they were last year. How many straight years is this for NE-Denver, anyway? At least three. Pittsburgh-SF looks good, NYG-TB ought to be sponsored by NoDoze or one of the speed... I mean ephedrine companies, and Tennessee-NYJ could be alright seeing how it's late enough in the season where the Jets have sportsmanly spotted everybody five games and have now begun to play catch up. Ending in Oakland three days before Christmas is a nice touch -- I guess they are counting on some Christmas cheer from the LARPers and foil mongers to allow everybody to get out alive.

I dunno, I guess it could be worse. It's a better lineup than the last few seasons. Miami's on way too much considering what they've accomplished lately and I was surprised that neither Buffalo or New Orleans made it, seeing how they were in the top five for scoring average, and that's what ABC seems to want. A little surprised that Washington isn't in the mix either.
