There were reports of vaults/gates/doors opened with proper keys and specific items stolen from inconspicuous locations. Never mind the images of the rabble that actually carried the artifacts away, I wonder who those are that actually commissioned the thefts.

I understand that certain objects were jewel encrusted or made of (or adorned with) precious metals, but other then obvious bling... really, there has to be sko meso/arabic intelligentsia involved. This doesn't look like the post-NBA final smash & grab run on the local BestBuy we usually see here.

And yes, it was somewhat fucked up that we did not have a protocol for securing national treasures already established.

(Also: Does this mean the Loc Nar has been released from it's five thousand year old prison?)
