A simple majority of Americans are Christian. Does that mean the rest of us should sit quietly by while they gut the religious protections of the first amendment?

Well stated...personal liberty should be the first goal of every government, and quite often that happens in spite of democracy rather than as a consequence of it. Witness the diverse assaults on the American constitution that popular movements (ie gun control, prohibitionists, etc) have waged.

I would add the following question: If not Halliburton and/or companies like Halliburton, all equally unsavory to leftists, what would you suggest as an alternative for these roles? Some worthless UN bureacratic conglomerate? Thanks, but let me know when they've figured out how to get electricity in Kosovo again.
