| Wes Craven - you got the original Nightmare On Elm Street, Scream, Last House On The Left, but he's had some real stinkers in there, too (Shocker).
John Carpenter - you got Halloween (best slasher flick ever, hands down), The Thing, and I still think Prince of Darkness is great. Other than that, it seems that you might be right. All the best horror movies seem to have been early films (but not, generally, first movies) by bigtime directors. FoK |
