The truth by Derek Lollerson, PhD 06/07/2003, 10:20pm PDT

Barbie is grossly exaggerating what happened here. How about an injection of sanity.

The original Steve Lollerson banned a few weeks ago reposted. He was promptly rebanned. For kicks a couple of us came in here and poked fun at Barbie (just me and jeffd I think) over his socialist utopian site ideals and his 3d shins. I'm pretty sure all of us that did had never posted before. I made 2 posts and jeffd probably about the same before we were banned and our posts deleted. Not even close to spamming. Later that day we started using proxies to wheedle Barbie and ask exactly what our bannable offenses were. The proxies were banned. People in #ga caught wind of what was going on at some point and started reading/posting as well, basically along the same lines as us "Where are your free speech ideals now Chet?" and it snowballed into this. This was not some orchestrated massive spam by 15 different people.

Just quoted for truth.
