Good route for newbies going Imperial (El Koba and I) and contact info by Senor Barborito 07/13/2003, 4:23am PDT
First off, El Koba and I are on the Loka server, just so you fags know. As you might have guessed, my name ingame is 'Ryvar', send me a tell. I've joined an ingame player city called Keren Estates (Keren is the big imperial town on Naboo) a short hike SW of the spaceport. They've carefully setup where people places houses so there are rough streets, and it's already at 16 houses (plus two armorer factories) and counting - 14 of the houses have been sold, and I got the last one with the nice tower entrance. More, presumably, will soon be added as time and resources allow. House price is 10K with an additional 5K desposit returned to you after 3 days.

OH MY FUCKING GOD WHAT HAS BECOME OF ME? I'M WORSE THAN A FAGGOT WHO GUZZLES SANTORUM BY THE GALLON.

Anyways, you can make that 15K inside of 6 hours, easy, without fighting at all.

Start in Keren, at the South East shuttle port - see the Catina just up the hill from you on the overhead map? Go there, there's an imperial mission generator there.

Keep refreshing through the missions until you find two that a) are less than 250 meters distant in starting location, and b) Make you between 550 and 590 credits

For everything that passes this initial filter, grab the mission details - if it ends 7500-8200 meters to the west, take it, that's where the city Theed is.

Go retrieve the starting holodisks from the two initial contacts that are less than 250 meters distant, and return to the shuttleport you began at - purchase a ticket for the east shuttleport of Theed, just near the spaceport (the only travel option that costs 115 instead of 220). When the shuttle comes, use the ticket master to take the shuttle to Theed.

Once in Theed, pull up your datapad (if you're using First-person controls, 'P') and use the radial menu to 'activate' the waypoints on the holodisks again (they get shut off inflight). Finish the deliveries by conversing with the orange-beam-from-God-highlighted NPC, and then head towards the center shuttleport in town. You'll notice by the center shuttleport there's a HUGE round building dominating the local landscape with giant archways leading up to it - this is the Royal Palace. ON the right side of the palace (facing towards it from the front 'right'), near the front of the palace is another imperial mission generator. Hit it, and look for two missions VERY close 200 meters or less (you're in timecrunch whenever you're in Theed because it's so goddamn huge) accept offers as low as 525 but no lower, and make sure they have a final destination of 7500-8200 meters EAST.

Do the initial pickups for your two missions, then head for the eastern shuttleport of Theed (the other two cost 200 to buy a ticket back to Keren). If you've hauled ass up until now, you should arrive with about 45 seconds - a minute and a half before the shuttle gets back on it's 10 minute cycle. Buy a ticket to the south eastern shuttleport of Keren, where we started out.

Once you get back in Keren, it's essentially repeat from beginning, except the shuttle we just took there is still present, which means you're screwed because you can't take it out again unless you REALLY haul ass and get missions very close to the imperial mission generator. So finish up those missions from Theed, hit the generator and PRAY for missions close to it, do the pickups and then hit the shuttle again . . .

Each time you complete two missions you've earned 1000 credits of the 15K necessary for a house, additionally, you've gained 20 faction points with the empire - you need 200 to become a member - DO NOT OPENLY DECLARE FOR THE EMPIRE UNTIL YOU ARE A TOTAL FUCKING BADASS HINT HINT. Earning the 16.5K necessary for the house - 5% fee when tipping from bank instead of cash, which you want to do because that's way too much cash to lose if you die PLUS you want to deposit 500 or so to pay for the 8 credit/hour maintenance fee on all houses (1000 = 2 and a half days or so, so it's not expensive or anything).

All this took me 6 hours to do today. I've got the house, I'm a member of the empire, and in another hour I'm going to have a customized Tuskan rifle (2500-3000 credits) which in the hands of a really good sniper can pull 400 damage per attack (this is a fuckton). Tuskan rifles are newbie rifles, btw, but tricked out they can be sweet.

Anyways, if you're interested, hit Loka and hook up with me and El Koba - and please check out Keren estates. Oefe and Knam are the fucking greatest guys. They taught me Shyyyriwook for free, gave me a free probe droid they had hanging around, and cleared out the local spawns for my newb ass so I could place the house. If you want a house around Keren (and if you're empire, you do), what I've seen tells me they're well worth your time - they could've ripped me off when I bungled the secure transfer and gave them the money ahead of time, but the thing is you get the sense these guys are actually starting to really care about their little player city. There were a few player cities on UO that caught the attention of the devs who put in lots of little extras for said cities, and I think Keren estates might very well become the equivalent in SWG.

Anyways, I hate this, I FUCKING HATE IT TO HELL AND GONE BECAUSE IT'S A GODDAMNED SONY MMORPG, but I really am starting to like this game a lot.

Oh, btw - 200 faction points to join the empire. Yeah, and 5,000 for the stormtrooper chest plate, 3,000 for the helmet and legs each seperately, and 2,000 for the utility belt, gloves, boots, left bracer, right bracer, left bicep, and right bicep EACH SEPERATELY. Jesus God the people I see running around in almost-complete stormtrooper outfits already SCARE me.
