I had 4 wisdom teeth pulled yesterday. I had pain killers shoved down my throat that day, but today I haven't taken any.
People often ask me what I mean when I say it 'hurts' to be bipolar in the way I am - I can provide you with a comparison now.
You know that feeling in your jaw the day after you have 4 wisdom teeth pulled, before you've taken any painkillers in the past 12 hours? Being bipolar is like that, only it's in your head, and it's 10-20 times MORE painful in a fiery/burning sort of way. I'm having a good 'bipolar' day and my head still is hurting me worse than my jaw is right now (and my jaw is swollen out to my fucking EARS here, people, because the left side didn't want to come out).
Oh yeah, and finding the equivalent of 'painkillers' for type-I 'ultra' rapid cycling (technically there is no DSM-IV 'ultra' classication but amongst the bipolar community it's a fairly well-known sub-class of rapid-cycling) can take between 1 and 10 years before you get anything that works.
Sorry, but seriously - to everyone out there who says 'Oh c'mon you're pathetic it can't be that bad' and then whines about needing painkillers for their wisdom teeth (you know who you are, sir) you're so full of shit I'd be laughing if I could right now.
