Is there ever a point at which all this hunting and harvesting and moisture farming and staring at virtual fags flourishing allows you to do something FUN? At this point the whole fucking game sounds like a star wars mod for animal crossing.
Senior B's descripton of Planetside's beta sounded absolutely kickass, enough to make me consider getting into online games. This game just sounds fucking depressing.
Tell me you repeled a sneak attack by a pitiful band of rebel scum attempting to blow up your latest doomsday device before it becomes operational. Tell me a jedi started running amok through town force-tossing partially dressed stormtroopers everywhere until you managed to take him out with a volley of thermal detonators. Tell me your team of crack commandos got sick of staring at the intergalactic drag show and mounted a sudden attack on the cantina, blasting every entertainer in sight until all that was left was the sweet sound of silence until a dude with just a stormtrooper helmet on flipped a coin to the bartender and apologised about the mess. Isn't there anything to the game besides virtual menial labor?
You all realize you could get retail jobs at computer stores, play the star wars soundtrack on one of the display boomboxes, and get the same exciting experience only you GET PAID instead of pay monthly fees for the priviledge?
And why would moisture farming be a profitable job on naboo? |
