What ever happened to Bodybag?
I moved to Atlanta. Sherman burned down my town. DOESN'T ANYONE PAY FUCKING ATTENTION?
Don't get me wrong about Vick, I hope he can someday walk again without the aid of a car, and he is indeed the most exciting player to watch in sports today(well, before tonight). It IS good for dem Saints, however. I feel vindicated about being slightly giddy at hearing the news considereing that, as far as broken legs go, his isn't projected to be a season-ender.
I'm glad you said that, I was about to blast you for being a faggot, call you a closet Philly fan by behavior. Never mind, though. I imagine it's hard not to feel that way. I can't tell you how glad I am San Fran is in a different division from Atlanta now. Of course, now all you have to worry about is the resurgent Panthers, who are going to be more trouble than you might think, and oh yeah the Bucs, whose ability to compete doesn't hinge on one guy (although Brad Johnson is in the prime of his game).
Starting the season without the services of your star QB is a dilemma that San Fran potentially faces. I don't care how many TDs Rattay throws in preseason, we're dead if Garcia doesn't play. Maybe the opener vs. the Bears, maybe. When NFL Tonight guys talk about it, and Mike Golic turns to Mark Schlereth and says "Hey, isn't that what you had, Mark?" as Mark sits there in his suit, looking fairly young and nowhere near a Broncos or any other team's uniform, answering "Yup," I cringe. I cringe more than fucking Atlanta fans, believe me.

Who's gonna be the big story for the first 6-8 weeks? Carson Palmer? Kelly Holcombe? Jake Plummer?(snicker)
Carson Palmer isn't even going to start, Kitna is. He won't be a story until next season, after he plays the last 6 or so games of this season when Kitna's tank runs out like it always does, and the Bengals are mathematic impossibilities for the playoffs. Holcombe is never going to look like the clear-cut starter, even though he'll play well. The Browns are as good at finding ways to lose as the Bengals are, so he might play well, but the D or special teams will blow a win or four, and then everyone wonders if Holcombe should be the starter when they're 6-7. Plummer has shown up to camp in the best condition of his life, and has displayed an accelerated grasp of Shanahan's complicated offense. Further helping his cause will be his support cast, as Denver has probably found another breakout RB if Portis gets hurt (or to just spell him or push him), and McCaffrey might lose his #2 spot to Lelie. Now, what do you think McCaffrey is going to do with that? Roll over and concede the #2 spot, or give his best to keep it? You may snicker, but Plummer's the best chance at a positive spin out of the three you mention, even if he's getting some credit by proxy. What QB doesn't?

PS, don't jynx tha' Duece. If Madden 2004 is any indication, Keaton's lower-echelon salary apparently forces him to bet against the team to make ends meet.
You mean Madden 2004 with Michael Vick on the cover?

PLUG: My superdeeduper season opening football article ought to be up by the end of the month. It will be pretty extensive, analyzing every team by position, impressions, who got better, who got worse, which players must improve, as well the usual .500 picks for Week One (hey, I went undefeated one week last season) and more exact (meaning, far less accurate) season forecasts, including the SUPAH BOWL WINNAH!
