I don't see that as a problem, but I might be unpleasantly surprised. After all, a 600MHz P3 isn't running as slow as you'd think. The hard drives are running at about 1/3 of the current ones (DMA/33), the RAM is about 1/5? maybe of current RAM, the processor is at about 1/4 of up-to-date CPU hotness, and the FSB same (I don't remember if I 'upgraded' to the 133MHz FSB or not).
Either way, the shooters have yet to utilize all of the CPU resources as compared to the video card. So I'm crossing my fingers and hoping I don't need to upgrade. Then again,  | Half-Life 2 |  | may require a more worthy CPU.
But it won't, because  | Gabe Newell |  | simply WOULDN'T DO THAT TO ME! |
