That guy is really smart until the last two paragraphs when he becomes kinda stupid. So he concludes that biological differences aren't the cause? That's fascinating since he completely discounts them (rightly) from consideration. That's called a fake summary. And while going on about how he's really a scientist doing science, he neglects to point out the crucial proof of that statement: historical sciences are amenable to creating and then testing hypotheses. One can't create the experiment, but since he's studying the entire world, happy coincidences like Tasmania lend themselves nicely to supporting or poking holes in theories.

Anyway, good reading. Pretty lucky that all those domesticable plants and animals were around at all, huh?
