In a nutshell? An entire game of indoor Halo levels. Feel liks Halo. Plays like (indoor) Halo. Not as many faggot rainbow colors as Halo, though the indoor environments look a lot better. They even copied the personal shield from Halo exactly. Also like Halo, it feels like half the weapons you're firing are nerf guns (and the pistol is also a better weapon than the machine gun). No feel that you're doing any damage to anyone with the machine gun. Ammo for the better weapons is scarce. Far, far too often early on you'll run across super droids that 30 seconds of concentrated fire from your entire squad to take down. It's quicker to just stab them to death with a knife :( . At the end of level 2 you'll have to fight dozens of these while making your way to the bridge of a ship under a very tight time limit. When you come across your first SUPER super droid, your idiotic advisor goes on for a minute about how super it is before he actually tells you how to kill it WHILE YOU'RE GETTING SLAUGHTERED BY IT. Good thing that fragbait only talks to me through a hologram.
The whole orders system is pointing to pre-scripted, highlighted positions saying "take up sniper position here", or "hAxOr this terminal". CAN YOU HOLD OUT WHILE YOUR BUDDY H4X0RS THE COMPUTER?!!!
I was having fun at first, but after about an hour you come to realize you're just doing the same thing over and over as you advance from room to linear room and everything takes an entire machinegun clip to kill. I would have liked it better if weapons were more deadly, to enemies and yourself. Killing nothing but robots and lizards gets old FAST, and the bugs in the first level suck. I don't think I'm going to finish it. If I do it will be over the course of several short sessions.
