Wolverine and Gambit are great fun.

Just beat the HAARP mission. Jesus wolverine is god in this game. Pratty much every enemy that isn't physical resistant dies in one hit to his super slash attack, bosses and sentinels 3-4.

All the puzzles seem centered around Iceman.

Fucking HATE the puzzles. Oh just fought through this level and got to a chasm I can't cross because I don't have the right character currently in my party. Totally my fault that I didn't see this coming with no warning whatsoever. Time to go all the way back to an Xtraction point and switch party members.

Fuck Iceman. Nude ice sculpture with bandana. Ker-GAY.

You have to be careful not to exhaust Cyclops.

Cyclops now seems to be the guy to pull out against physical resistant enemies.

Beast is in his human phase and not in any costume I've ever seen him wear so he really becomes just this chunky guy who sometimes walks on his feet.

???? He's the same furry blue ape he's always been. The only time he's been human was in the Juggernaught flashback.

I hope you grow to hate Magma as much as I do -- she stinks of some frustrated Failed Bendis trying to insert his own story into the first playable X-Men game in quite sometime with never-ending faggotry.

Yes. Girl talk! Flirting with cute boys! Writing in my secret diary! *giggle*

Yes, a young girl coming of age and dealing with her lava-based powers ... that sums up the X-Men to me!

I dunno, has any introductory X-man story ever NOT centered around this? Teenaged girl's power suddenly manifests, forced on the run. Gets caught between the Xmen and some evil organization trying to abduct her. Xmen rescue her, give her the mansion tour, Nightcrawler startles her, moment where she hesitantly agrees to join. The old 80's cartoon did it with Shadowcat, the 90's one did it with Jubilee, the movie did it with Rogue, and that X-treme one where they're all teenagers did it with...Shadowcat again.

I never got far enough to see Colossus - they really stretched his arrival out.

Why does every recent incarnation of the Xmen do this? Start us out with the lamest characters and hold out the cool ones. Everybody hates Cyclops, but we always get him first. Gambit? Two movies and still no-show. Brief flash of his name on a computer, ha ha you cockteases. The makers of the first movie asked themselves "Out of all the xmen villains, which ones would make for the coolest fight scenes?" and came up with Toad, Sabertooth, and Mystique (who could replicate wolverine's claws?). Brilliant. The interchangeable second movie added....a wolverine clone...again.

Storm's okay, but Rogue seemed to die fairly often and at least for me her ability to fly petered out fast.

I don't see the point to flying. You can't leave everyone else behind so the mobility part is mute, and it drains your entire energy bar in just a couple seconds.

I can't remember if Angel is in the game or not, but if he is we never used him.

Did he ever do anything useful before he became archangel? He pretty much just flew around while everyone else fought, occasionally catching someone if they fell from a tall building and jean or rogue or nightcrawler or iceman or storm weren't around to do it instead.
