and by talk i guess i mean make fun of IGN's preview

We couldn't hear the voices too well, but Sega's managed to produce hilarity three times already, so we expect no less from House of the Dead 4. The game's storyline focuses on a character called James Taylor as well as a girl character. Both look kind of like vampires, although we're not sure if this is a part of the story.

so much for investigative journalism. or any resemblance to lucid writing. "The game was weird and japanese." It's not that hard IGN.

In terms of content, Sega has made some big changes to the game. While blasting away at zombies is still the point of the
game, the experience is more intense thanks to the massive number of zombies that come attacking. We were occasionally attacked by more than a dozen zombies at once.

I don't have anything sarcastic to say here, mowing down waves of zombies with a machine gun sounds cool. So big thanks to IGN for not somehow finding a way to fuck up the delivery of this information.

The game also has grenades, but we weren't sure how to toss them.

i guess the button on the side of the gun, the one that shoots grenades in every gun game ever, wasn't working. Or: the same retards that couldn't figure out NO PICTURES in two languages and a pictogram were further stymied by the Grenades Shoot From Here -> sign.

The gun that you use to play has one cool feature aside from a trigger.

If you're like me, a moron, the first thing that raced through your mind was, "But nothing is cooler than a trigger!" in a faux-astonished voice. Then, rolling your eyes at yourself and just reading the rest of the paragraph in context.

A sensor inside the gun can determine when the gun is being shaken. You'll often have to shake the gun in order to get out of situations, usually when an enemy has grabbed hold of you. The game seems to be capable of sensing how hard you're shaking the gun, so shaking hard is the way to go. This is a fun new play mechanic -- hopefully no one will get hurt.

This fun new play mechanic certainly sounds interesting. perhaps, instead of shaking the gun (altho that makes total sense, i am terrified of shaking guns), they can put sensors in a foot pad in front of the machine. And to escape zombies you have to move your feet in a rhythm based O GOd NO IM DANCING. Christ Sega, how about when a zombie grabs hold you fucking shoot him to death? Thanks for fagging up my zombie game.

Occasionally, [the boss will] grab on to you, and you have to shake the gun in order to get free. You build up a meter during the shaking, which determines how long you can shoot the boss during the next phase of his attack.

Eh, this is starting not to look so good. What started as gay but harmless (just don't let zombies run up and grab you n00b) has turned into unavoidable boss grabs and a gun shaking meter that determines how often I'm allowed to shoot. Maybe i'm jumping the gun(shaking faggotry), but HotD4 looks to be approaching Lethal Enforcers II levels of sequel gayness.
