the problem is that it was just the dog and the gun guy trying to hold the door open, where it would've been a dozen gun toting zombie killers in a chainsaw truck, if not for that stupid girl. And she really didn't only get herself in trouble when she gets the guy zombified and a few people killed rescuing her. If they were trying to get me to be more sympathetic to her character they should have found an actress with BIGGER TITS.


Then I tried watching it a second time. The introduction of fast zombies that I remembered loving the first time turned out to be (once the concept was no longer new and I wasn't surprised anymore) a pretty tame 30 second on foot chase scene. Each zombie scene is desperately filmed with shakey cam and funky shutter speeds in an attempt to mask the lameness


yes, 28 Days Later was shit. i don't know if that's what passes for a major Hollywood movie in whatever the British Hollywood is, but it looked like someone decided to make their independent movie about zombies. the biggest visual effect was putting a bunch of abandoned cars on the road (wow, such a powerful image).

Fast zombies and the 30 second infection thing were neat and all but the overpowering gayness of WE ARE A FAMILY NOW characters got pretty unbearable. Oh, and the British soldiers have gone 28 days without the fucking and they immediately go rape crazy. You'd think that even after an entire month they'd be able to use their military training to practice some restraint and, y'know, not pound the first little girl they see.

Fruitcake limey bike courier getting himself himself hospitalized and missing out on the apocalypse - Totally believable. Same faggot turning into big scary tuff guy at the end? haha, no.
