Except for the laptop that it destroyed. Ha ha! Just kidding, that laptop had hardware (memory) problems that caused it to kerplode.

Modifying the firewall is easy (through network settings, then under the properties of your network connection), and for our company environment I enable File and Print sharing and another custom TCP port for our AV software. It's been stable and there haven't been any problems with it so far.


Forgot to make that clear: for home networks, you'll probably want to enable File and Print sharing as well since it's off by default.
