So, is the Nevan actually any real use, other than the flying when Demoned up? It seems a bit too gimmicky and unwieldy at the moment.

I thought so too at first. It's tricky to use, but it can be very useful. Definately get the "dash" move (the equivalent of stinger for rebellion, up + triangle). Never charge up bats on the ground, do it in the air so they'll launch before you hit the ground (this move is a complete lifesaver against Enigma archers on higher difficulties since the bats act like a shield). The move where you do the knee slide and solo on the floor with a whirlwind of bats flying around you is not only the coolest move in the game, but it can send your combo meter soaring straight up to Stylish if you do it around multiple enemies.

Is the back + plus triangle move where you launch enemies in the air and do a behind the back solo a move that you have to purchase? If so I'd advise that you don't. It's less than useless since it not only sucks on its own, but always tends to activate instead when I'm trying to do the much more useful left/right + triangle moves.

To be honest, I haven't really found any reason to not just have the pistols and shotgun and AgniRudra and Cerberus.

Stinger alone makes Rebellion a must have for me. I can't think of a single move I do more often. I was never that impressed with A&R since it just seemed like a compromise between different weapons without doing one thing very well, and the up + triangle "dash" move is way too slow.

I always stuck with the pistol/shotgun until I got the bazooka at which point I ditched the shotgun. Really a lot of the guns seemed crappy (artemis, sniper rifle), although artemis and the shotgun are decent with gunslinger.

Also you were completely right, it's nowhere near as hard as everyone said it was, not as easy as the original where I didn't die once ever until the second Nightmare (on the second time round as well, oddly)

I don't believe you :(

Maybe it's just the ability to infinately replay previous levels, but the original gave me a much tougher time. I remember the last boss boiling down to just how many devil stars you had in your inventory. I also remember having no such problem with DMC3 (except on Dante must Die mode, which is a real ass kicker).

but Shinobi is in a totally different league of difficulty (because Shinobi may be a crazy ninja, but he doesn't like not starting from the beginning of a level EVERY TEN SECONDS).

This wouldn't be ZSENI would it?
