| A million years ago -- actually about 20 -- there was a really funny parody written by a guy, possibly at CU Boulder possibly somewhere else, about the original series Enterprise encountering the Death Star. It had great scenes like Kirk and Spock onboard the Death Star with tricorders and Spock saying "there's a command center three decks down and 7 miles that way, Captain" and an epic battle between hapless redshirt idiots vs hapless Stormtrooper idiots that ends with Grand Moff Tarkin dropping a grand piano on the redshirts. Also, Kirk fights Darth Vader and turns him into a cube with a belt from whatever alien race had belts that turned people into cubes. Of course Star Trek wins because they're the good guys. Another great scene was the Death Star blasting them with the main gun and knocking the shields down to 80% -- the justification being that the Enterprise took several direct hits from the Space Yam of Death, the planet killer in the Doomsday Device episode.
Does anyone have even the faintest idea what I'm talking about? I've been searching around Google, but all I'm finding are Furry fan fiction (bizarre) and semi-serious yet totally ludicrous technical assessments. Then I got my old parodies confused and googled Vulcan Cheddar Meld, which yielded a pretty good Next Gen vs Original Series parody that I'd read before. Anyway, I don't suppose anyone here has heard of the Star Trek vs Star Wars one. |
