Aftermath by CattleHumper 10/27/2005, 2:45pm PDT Well, it hit hard and we lost power. You never realize how much you love your electronics until they die. Trees down, some cars near mine turned into hot dog buns. Power finally came back up for some people last night, but my apartment is still without. Lines for food were crazy the first day, now they've calmed down. Lines for gas are batshit fucking insane. You can let your car idle in line for gas and burn your whole tank before you can refuil. It's strange 'cause there isn't a shortage or anything. People are just panicking or stupid and didn't fuel before the storm hit. Still under a 7pm to 7am curfew every night, and i just took my first hot shower in four days. Wilma sucked, and now we're in a post-apocalyptic world where all the trees have been brutally murdered. Very brutally. Not too bad, overall. Roads are clear again and power should be back before too much longer. I just miss my colossus slayings.
