| I only wrote about half of them down, though. I was almost completely randomly smarter* than my parents so I got to hear a lot of bullshit spiritual lies when I was a kid. Also we moved to Jupiter FL when I was fifteen and my mom put me in Jupiter Christian School which was the most insane and useless tard factory I've ever seen. I heard all the stuff you're hearing from these ID lackwits fifteen years ago and now instead of being dimwitted cokeheads they're in charge of daddy's company and running for office and shit.
Anyway, coworkers: When I was a teacher, the boss and the other employees decided that it would be a good idea to have "Office Devotionals" and that I really should come if I wanted to be a part of the team. I asked if being part of the team meant I could sue them for discrimination and they said no. I quit when I caught the guy charging my students double because I was "his best employee and he had to pay me extra to each night classes." In fact I never saw a dime from that. Those religious types are so trustworthy, unlike us shifty atheists. It's another in a long line of anecdotes that points to religion being the lens that makes life look like a Jack Chick comic. I don't mean Christianity, though it is the majority faith, I mean anything that isn't fucking observable and repeatable. Spirituality informs and reinforces every retard's sense of narrative about the world. That's also people's big problem with evolution. Not that it isn't in the Bible, because neither is Nascar, but because it resists narrative structure. It's not deontological enough for people. This is why people don't like sabremetrics or economists who run football teams or horror movies where the people who have sex survive. They'll talk about it as if there was something intangible wrong, but the reality is the comics don't fit the frames, they don't retell the Cycle of the Fool or Oedipus or whatever, so they fucking hate it. /jeep/ * actually just less stoned.
