Like other notable gimmicks, such as Burnout's combat driving (COINCIDENCE!), the destructible environments and kill em all simplicity is surprisingly refreshing. You know, as far as a genre overrun by faux moral conflicts and bullshit puzzles goes. I steered clear of the other game because I heard it really does a lot of escort missions. Short of having to keep squad members alive to complete a mission, there are few things I like less than that, even when allegedly well executed. That's the sum total of what I know about it. |
