1. We've been having a discussion about 'mistakes that are their own punishment.' I tell a guy to use a dolly to move servers, he doesn't, he hurts his back, the mistake punished itself. I think this applies to the drunk redneck/shotgun issue. 2. I think the judge actually said "you've guaranteed yourself a fate worse than death, so I'll give you a choice: some really unpleasant yet unnecessary jail time and then a probably short life as a eunuch, or I'll grant you the release that is death." I'm thinking they should reinstitute this from classical greek politics: "Exile or suicide" "life in prison or suicide" "yet another fucking speeding ticket/insurance increase or suicide." This is a viable option for some people. Someone do a study. /jeep/ |
