Here's the whole movie: Robin Williams tells jokes that clearly aren't funny and then they cut to the other actors laughing uproariously at them.
One of the trailers had a reporter asking Williams' character, "What are you thoughts on a cabinet?"
Wow, even Williams couldn't be that obvious, could he?
"Well, I've always been partial to oak"
sigh
Home experiment: Tomorrow, give every single person the setup to that joke and tell them to complete it with the very first punchline off the top of their head. You'll soon form the theory that 100% of everyone you know (strangers too) is at least as funny as Robin Williams.
The jokes printed on my popsicle sticks are as funny as Robin Williams.
What did the Mountain Climber name his son? Cliff
What did the lawyer name his daughter? Sue
What keys can't open doors? Piano keys
What's the richest kind of air? Million-aire
Are any of these jokes really worse than anything Williams has done for the past 20+ years?
No, because your popsicle sticks don't stop halfway through telling the jokes to get all weepy about vietnam/divorce/the afterlife/democracy and everyone who's been getting paid to laugh uproariously starts nodding as tears well up in their eyes. |
